As most of you are aware, the cost of grains has been steadily increasing since the fall of 2007. I have attempted to maintain our prices hoping to see some decrease in the market. Unfortunately that has not occurred. Instead, our ingredient costs have continued to increase. The price of gas is a small problem for us compared to the cost of grains. The demand for bio fuel, a drought in Australia, and regional weather conditions has caused a near tripling the cost of a bushel of wheat on the commodity markets. Our main flour has more than tripled in cost. This market condition has also caused other grains to increase in price. These unprecedented market conditions have forced us to increase our bread prices to be more in line with our production costs. I regret having to pass these costs on to you, our customers, but our current price structure is simply not sustainable.

We are constantly searching for the best ingredients at the most competitive price and of course, will review our pricing structure as market conditions change.
